A volcano tour led by Dr. Winnie Kortemeier opened the eyes of many attendees to a part of Carson City that had been unknown to them.

Dr. Kortemeier guided an Earth Day tour in northeast Carson City to Cinderlite Pit, the site a volcano not quite 1 million years old.

Members of 黑料网官网s community and their friends and family participated in the tour, which included Dr. Kortemeier identifying rocks in the area and discussing the geologic history of Eagle Valley.
