| Statement: | The purpose of this policy is to ensure each Academic Calendar is proposed and reviewed by all appropriate parties before being approved and distributed. | |||
Section 1: Academic Calendar proposal
- Each year, the Academic Calendar shall be proposed by the Registrar four years in advance. (For example, the academic calendar for 2028-2029 is proposed during the 2024-2025 academic year.)
- Once proposed, the Academic Calendar shall be reviewed by the the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs, who shall approve or recommend changes to the Academic Calendar.
- Following approval the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs, the Academic Calendar shall be approved by the Academic Faculty Senate no later than their April meeting during the academic year in which the calendar is proposed.
- Once approved, the Registrar shall send the Academic Calendar to the President for final approval. After receiving final approval, Registrar shall send the Academic Calendar to the Information & Marketing Department for distribution.
